This week was a very busy week for FCBT! We performed for Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Ft. Lauderdale…the event? ”No Strings Attached” a special banquet and evening where the church hosts hundreds of Broward county’s homeless men, women and children. Last year when we performed at the banquet one gentleman said it was as if he was watching poetry! We also performed for the Palm Beach County Literacy Coalition for an Adult Readers Banquet. All the attendees learned to read as adults and for many this is their only opportunity to see a ballet performance. Our final performance was for St. Marks School in Palm Beach Gardens. Performing some of our repertoire in schools is always a wonderful way to educate students about the art of classical ballet. It was an amazing week and we thoroughly enjoyed spreading the joy of dance throughout Palm Beach County!

The Makayla Joy Sitton Foundation is presenting a Christmas Pageant for our community on Saturday, December 17 at 7:30pm at the Seabreeze Amphithatre at Carlin Park. 33 Dancers from the Esterher Center will be particpating as the “Actors”… angels, shepherds, magi, Mary & Joseph. We have been busy since our performances of The Nutcracker spreading good tidings at the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens and The Loxahatchee Club Ladies Luncheon. Our dancers performed for 450 people in the gardens and 79 women at the club. These events hep to increase community awareness of FCBT, give students an opportunity to perform as community service and support other non profits in their worthwhile endeavors.
